About 2105 Yards

2105 Yards is an original football game about one carry that never ends. You have the ball, the field runs forever, and an entire defense has the angle on you.

The number in the title is the target. Eric Dickerson's 2,105 rushing yards in 1984 is still the single-season record, and the game puts every landmark on the way there in front of you as a live total. Most first carries end somewhere in the low hundreds. Getting past a thousand means reading the field instead of reacting to it.

Movement is free rather than lane-based — drag and you slide anywhere across the width of the field, so the gap you want is usually reachable if you commit early enough. Hurdling a defender costs 5 coins, which makes the coins scattered downfield your jump budget rather than decoration.

Get tackled and you can buy your way back up, but the price climbs: 25 coins for the first revive, 50 for the second, 100 for the third, and there is no fourth. Each one hands you 3 seconds of untouchable time to truck straight through traffic, and you have about five seconds to decide before the play is dead. Runs that crack the top ten go on the global leaderboard.

How to beat the 2,105-yard rushing record

  1. Drag left and right to run anywhere across the width of the field — you are not locked to lanes.
  2. Swipe up to hurdle a defender. Each hurdle costs 5 coins, so spend them when a gap is genuinely closing.
  3. Collect coins constantly; they pay for both hurdles and revives, and you cannot earn them once you are down.
  4. Read the defenders two rows ahead rather than the one on top of you — by the time a tackler is close, the gap has already gone.
  5. When you are tackled you get about five seconds to buy a revive: 25 coins the first time, then 50, then 100, three per run maximum.
  6. Each revive gives you 3 seconds untouchable — run straight through the traffic instead of dodging it.

2105 Yards tips — surviving past a thousand

  • Bank coins early, because revives get more expensive as you go. Reaching your third tackle with 100 coins in hand is worth more than any twenty hurdles.
  • Drift, don't dart. Small continuous adjustments keep two escape routes open; a hard cut across the field commits you to one gap that may already be closing.
  • Sprint during the 3 seconds of untouchable time after a revive. It is the only free yardage in the game and it expires whether you use it or not.
  • Hurdle late. A jump started early lands you back in traffic; a jump taken as the defender commits clears the whole cluster behind him.

Built for football fans

If you follow the NFL, the number in the title will already mean something. Eric Dickerson ran for 2,105 rushing yards for the Los Angeles Rams in 1984, and it is still the single-season record more than forty years later — closer than anyone has come since is Adrian Peterson's 2,097 in 2012, eight yards short.

The whole game is built around that number. Your yardage runs as a live total against the historic marks on the way up, so a run is not just a score — it is a position on the all-time list. Reaching 2,105 is the win condition, and almost nobody does it first try.

2105 Yards questions, answered

How do revives work in 2105 Yards?

You get three per run and each costs more than the last — 25 coins, then 50, then 100. After a tackle you have about five seconds to decide. Each revive clears the field around you and makes you untouchable for 3 seconds, which is enough to run straight through the next wave.

What are the coins for?

Coins are your only currency and they pay for two things: hurdling a defender costs 5, and buying back into a run costs 25, 50 or 100 depending on how many revives you have already used. You cannot collect them once you are down, so banking beats spending.

How do you get past 1,000 yards?

Stop reacting to the nearest defender and start reading two rows ahead. Move in small continuous drifts rather than hard cuts, save coins for the escalating revive costs, and use every second of untouchable time after a revive to gain ground instead of dodging.

When is hurdling worth 5 coins?

Only when running around a defender is genuinely impossible — both sides covered, or a wall of tacklers arriving together. Running is free, so five coins spent on a jump you did not need is five coins missing from the revive that would have doubled your run.

What is the 2,105-yard record?

It is Eric Dickerson's single-season NFL rushing total, set in 1984 and never beaten. The game is built around it: your running yardage is shown against every historic landmark on the way up, and passing 2,105 is the win condition.

Who holds the NFL single-season rushing record?

Eric Dickerson, with 2,105 yards for the Los Angeles Rams in 1984. It has stood for over forty years — Adrian Peterson came closest in 2012 with 2,097, eight yards short. That 2,105 is the target this game is named after and built around.
